How many of you have seen at least one D.I.Y in YouTube in this month? I am sure almost 90% of you have seen it and thought of trying one of it. But why D.I.Y is so trending? Somewhere it lets you explore your creative side and come up with something very interesting.

Now, there is something that is close to everyone’s heart and that is PHOTOGRAPH!

There is no one who does not appreciate a good photograph and helps in getting things on that side as well. Keeping that in mind, there are some really easy and cool Photographs DIY that you can try for your home.

Clip-It-Up!

Level – Very Easy

Things you will require –

  • Nails
  • Drilling machine or hammer
  • Colourful ropes
  • Wooden Clips
  • Acrylic colours
  • Lots of Photographs

How to do it?

First of all, collect all the photographs and print them in the same size. Now, choose an accent wall where there is no texture or furniture as suck.

Mark a distance of 1 meter and put the nails there. Do these in 3 rows and tie the ropes to the nails.

Colour the clips with acrylic colours (better use vibrant colours or metallic colours for a more dramatic effect).

Once the clips are dry clip the photographs on the ropes with them.

This is a simple yet extremely trendy photographs DIY!

 

Photo curtain

No, you don’t have to get this printed and it’s very easy to do as well!

Things you will need –

  • Ready made net curtains
  • Beautiful photographs printed in 4” x 6”
  • Velcro
  • Glue gun

Use a curtain like this :

How to do this –

You need to take the curtain and see how the seam is done. On the outer folds make marks keeping a 15 cm gap.

Now on those marks you need to cut small pieces of 2” Velcro and stick to the curtain with glue gun. Repeat this on all the every seam facing outward.

The next step is to stick Velcro on the back of the photographs and attach it in the curtain.

This way if the curtain gets dirty, you can take off the photos, wash the curtain and dry it again.

Photo-chime

Level – Average

If you have an eye for home decoration, this is going to be perfect for your choice. Let’s start with it –

Things you will need –

  • 3 wooden sticks of 15 cm each
  • small wooden pieces and sticks
  • Paint
  • Colourful thread
  • Beads
  • Small bells
  • Sticky tape
  • Photographs
  • White glue

How you will make it?

First you have to stick the 3 sticks into a triangle with sticky tape and paint it.

While it dries, you start making the string. The length of the sting should be 20cm or more. Now double it and cut leaving few extra cm for tying knots. Fold the thread into half and put the bell first.

Now on take both the ends on the dale side and put few beads into the string.

The next step it to stick the photographs. Take 1 picture and stick the sting at the back with tape. Take another picture and secure it with the first picture with glue. Now, both the sides have 1 picture each and the string is going through it.

Add more beads or other accessories of your choice. Make 3 strings in the same way.

Finally tie the end of the string to the base of the triangle and hand the top to a hook.

Your wall photo-chime is ready!

 

Map Travel Photos

Level – Difficult

If you love to travel, this should be there up on your wall!

Things you will require –

  • A map outline of countries or state
  • Photographs of the places where you have been
  • Magnetic black chalk paint
  • White paint
  • Glue gun
  • Magnets

How to do it?

Get an outline of the map on the wall. Carefully colour it with magnetic chalkboard paint. Now with white paint, write the name of the places that you have visited.

Once the paint dries off, Take the photographs and stick 1 magnet on the back side with glue gun. Then stick it on the place where you have travelled.

Or you can also get photos outside the map and point it with a thread on the photo.

This gives a very edgy and boho look as well!
