Marwari Wedding Photographers

Whenever I picture a Marwari wedding I picture a lovely bandi with her banna in a set of myriad colours, electric emotions, rituals rooted in tradition and liveliness blazing through.

Marwari wedding photography has to handle a lot of pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding rituals and each one of them is equally important to attend to.

Camyogi will help you find an expert team of photographers to capture your wedding on film. These photographs are how you'd remember your wedding for the years to come, and it is very important they come out perfect.

Here are a few things we encourage you and our photographers to keep in mind when working

  • The photographer should be warmed up to the story that you want your wedding photographs to tell. Talk to them about your ideas and help them form a clear conception.

  • In a wedding, candid photos play an important role in telling the story. Although candid photography requires a slightly different approach, it should be incorporated well.

  • Make sure the photographers are well acquainted with the rituals and customs of a Marwari wedding. Even within Marwari weddings, there are different variations, it's important the photographers are informed about those too.

  • A Marwari wedding has a bunch of pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding rituals and to make sure every event is covered well you'll need to hire enough people.

  • At the same time while trying to make sure you've enough people don't hire teams from multiple studios. This'll only result in people getting in each other's way and unnecessary disorganization.

  • Try to bring variety to your album. As photographers work on getting shots of genuine moments and raw emotions, that'll work it's magic to the pictures.

Events in a Marwari wedding that's a must to be captured on camera.

Rupiyo Nariyal or engagement - This where the journey begins, the couple exchange rings and it's definitely a moment you should get photographed.

Pithi dastoor or Haldi - No doubt one of the most camera-worthy moments in any wedding. The banna and bandi's smiling, haldi smeared faces make for some beautiful pictures.

Mehendi - Beautiful ornamental patterns on the bride's hand and feet, the Mehendi ceremony is one of the best events for artsy wedding photography.

Mehfil or sangeet - Marwari families usually have different mehfils for men and women. Heartwarming performances are held for the bride and groom's family.

Baraat - Baraat is when the groom along with his family set off to meet the bride at their wedding venue. A baraat is charged with fervour and electrifying joy and it's a must to take pictures of it.

Jai Mala - Undeniably the most emotionally loaded moment of the entire wedding is the Jai mala. It is fun and deeply significant, two important qualities that make it ideal for wedding photography.

Main wedding ( Gath Bandhan, Kanyadan and pheras ) - These are the most important events which constitute a Marwari wedding. With many rituals imbued in these, they give us some brilliant moments which are perfect for the camera.

Bidai - As the bride or bandi as Marwari peeps call it leaves her house with the groom ( banna in Marwari ) it is a very emotional moment. Wedding photographers usually look for photos featuring the rawness of the moment during this.

1. How much does a Marwari wedding photography package cost?

Packages start from 30K and can go up to 1-1.5 Lakhs. The list of photographers available on our page was made and is regularly updated keeping in mind different price points.

2. What is the best time to book photographers for my wedding?

Wedding photographers are in demand all year round. It's best to book your photographer a year in advance to avoid last-minute problems that might arise if not booked on time.

3. What is the cancellation policy?

The cancellation policy is something completely dependent on the photographer/studio you choose to work with. Different companies have different cancellation policies. Even then I'd say it's best if needed, you cancel well on time, a few months prior if you're looking for some refund.

4. How long will it take for me to receive my images?

Most photographers have a turnaround of 1 month. Usually, you’ll get your digital copies in about 2 weeks whereas the hard copy of the album might take 4-5 weeks to be delivered but then this is just an approximate and will depend on the photographer.

5. Does the wedding photography package also include pre-wedding photoshoots?

There are a few photographers who provide a pre-wedding photoshoot with their wedding photography package, but there also are photographers who don’t. I’d suggest you to have a detailed discussion with the studio about this and then decide accordingly.
